Take a Break From Holiday Hustle and Bustle
( Post today is written by Bernie Stea)
We all know one of the casualties from the pressure and stress of the holidays is our mental well-being. We also know if we don't take time for a break every now and then, we easily miss out on the fun and joy of the season. So the Vancouver Winter Brewfest is always a welcome respite from the holiday crazies.
It’s also a chance to taste some of the best seasonal and foreign beers available in Clark County. Conveniently located in Esther Short Park for three days starting Friday, Dec 11, it’s easy to pop in and chill out over a winter ale, a hoppy IPA, or even a hard cider.
This year’s featured international beers are from Germany: light crisp pilsners, copper golden wheat beer, and dark, rich doppelbocks. Some 35+ breweries will be represented - many are artisanal brewers from Clark County: Heathen, Trap Door, and local favorite Mill City Brew Werks from Camas. With so many choices, you will easily find an assortment of tastes to your liking.
Tickets are $27 at the door, which includes access to the beer tent, 10 beer tokens, a commemorative mug and $2 food script. Local food vendors include Herb & Root Catering, Kristen's Sweet Delights, Southern Specialty Sausages, and Gumbo Goddess. $5 Designated Drivers or Non-drinker entry fee provides unlimited soft drinks.
This event is also a fund raiser for Race to Remember, an organization dedicated to honoring veterans and those who currently serve. So feel good about treating yourself to a break and toasting holiday cheer at the Winter Brewfest.
Holiday Greetings from ViewHomes of Clark County - celebrating a lifestyle with Nature As Neighbors.
ViewHomes™ grew out of our passion for nature, beautiful surroundings, and peaceful environments. Starting together in an urban environment, over the years we've gravitated towards areas with smaller populations and less density. We now enjoy our lifestyle in a rural environment, but with close proximity to metropolitan areas where we appreciate all the amenities of fine restaurants, shopping, and an easy drive to an international airport.
Living in ViewHomes™ is like having “elbowroom for the soul”.

Good Tuesday morning Debb Janes -
I wish we were close enough to meet you and Bernie Stea to chill out and enjoy a brew at this festive event.
Hi Bernie and Debb --- I'm not much of a beer drinker but a respite away from the crazies(holiday and others) sounds pretty good to me.
Nice post Bernie Stea, and I would have loved to explore this with the two of you. At one point we had great friends who were into beer, and we spent several times in various San Francisco pubs exploring beers of the world. That was before craft beers became popular. A
Ron and Alexandra,
That is the great thing about beer festivals - you can try a taste of different brews from all over. And it would be great fun to do that with you two!
Bernie
Debb, what a fun way to contribute to a good cause. I can taste it all the way in the other Washington!
Hi Debb, this is really fun and a great way for people to have some fun.
Sounds like another fun Holiday event Debb. 10 beer tokens! I hope the mug is a smaller one.
Enjoy yourself and we expect to see the video. Mark
That sounds like a very fun event and one that I would likely try to attend if I were there!
Debb - I love these beer fests. If this were any closer I would be there.
Hi Debb - Brew fests are fun any time of the year, and yours sounds like a winner - I like the addition of some foreign beers to compare with the excellent local ones.
Debb & Bernie - this is a great way to give back to our vets and enjoy a fun time with friends. Holiday spirit for sure! Cheers!
Debb and Bernie, a wonderful event/fundraiser for Race to Remember to honor veterans and those who currently serve. If I lived closer, my hubby and I would definitely have some holiday cheer at the Winter Brewfest.
Debb
The Winter Brewfest in Vancouver Washington will be a great event.
Good luck and success.

Good evening Debb,
While I know nothing about beer, my son tells me that beer is definitely seasonal and that a warm and hearty brew is perfect for the winter - sounds like this Brewfest is going to be the perfect holiday event!
I would certainly love to attend this event. It's a bonus to me that proceeds go to help a great cause, too.
This is good information for local residents. Thank you for sharing.
